Aquillion is a Norwegian heavy metal band from Kristiansand. The active ones are around 18 years old, more or less.

The tale starts four years ago when Thomas, Virr and Levi started playing instruments at their school. After a while Henrik came and Levi left theband. Around newyear 98-99 Kristoffer joined the band. We got a name and we played as much as we could.Jostein Faaland joined in the beginning of 2001 to do the vocals, and at the same time Virr left the band. Johan joined the band for a month or two to do the drums at O Thou That Lieth Dead on a concert, but left again in April. So we stand without a drummer.

Describing our musical style? Well... we're sort of a heavy metal band with black vocals. If you take the guitarriffs of Iced Earth and Iron Maiden, the orchestras of Carmina Burana, a thundering bass and growling vocals , you got us.  And the keyword to our music is contrasts. Some info on the new recordings:
We got in our primitive home studio and recorded 4 songs April/May 2001. Two of the samples are avaliable here. Anyway, we have used programmed drums at this recording-session. Maybe next time we'll use some real drums, hopefully we'll get a drummer. Any feedback from these songs will be appreciated.
More songs will be avaliable as soon as we'll get more webspace.
